Xaeda
Xaeda is the founder and principal teacher of Sacred Lotus Belly
dance in Toormina. Finding her passion for Middle Eastern dance and
percussion in 2001 and established the Sacred Lotus Bellydance School in
2006.
Performing professionally as a soloist, a member of Tribal Earth
Bellydance and The Drum Co., Xaeda has delighted audiences from the
Hunter Valley to Noosa Heads, including Woodford Folk Festival, the Mid
North Coast Bellydance Festival, Festival Mystique, Open Arms Festival,
numerous corporate events and private functions.
Xaeda began drumming while living in Noosa and has trained in many
different drumming styles including Arabic, Irish, African and Japanese.
Drawing on her experience as a musician Xaeda is able to get inside the
music and express it through dance.
Trained in Raks Sharki, various folk styles and ATS (American Tribal
Style) and skilled at Sword, Veil, Zills (finger cymbals), Cane, Isis
Wings and Shamadan. Xaeda is able to create a truly dynamic experience
for your next function.
Inspired by many Australian and International dancers, Xaeda continues
to grow both as a student and teacher of this beautiful art form.
